We've reached a milestone! 50 chapters nationwide!!!
Congratulations to SUNY Albany for being the 50th Tau Sigma chapter established!!! It's rather appropriate that our 50th chapter is at a SUNY university. The SUNY system has the most chapters of any, with chapters now at Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Cortland, Fredonia and Oswego. Also, New York state is home to the most Tau Sigma chapters of any state - with eight (the SUNY Universities, Adelphi University, and Hilbert College). However, as we continue to celebrate our 50th, we will hit 60 in the coming months!
Also, congratulations to the following universities that also have established chapters during the past year: University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, SUNY Fredonia, Washington State Univ, Univ of North Carolina - Charlotte, Univ of Maryland, the Univ of Texas, the Univ of Alabama, the Univ of North Carolina - Wilimington, and Adelphi! Along with SUNY Albany, we now have 59 chapters (in 28 states) and several others that are expected to join us this coming year!
The 2009 Tau Sigma scholarship recipients have been announced!
Go to the "Scholarships" link to see the results of the 2009 scholarships. We awarded over $19,000 in scholarships this year, which is almost twice what we awarded last year! Congratulations to all of the scholarship winners as well as those who were chosen to represent their chapters! Great work!
